HTFX-Sponsored Driver Vladimiros Tziortzis Takes an Exclusive Interview with EuroNASCAR

—July 22nd, 2024—

HTFX’s honored driver, Vladimiros Tziortzis, has recently taken an exclusive interview with EuroNASCAR. Vladimiros Tziortzis has made a remarkable transition from Formula 3 and 4 to the EuroNASCAR Championship, and it was the first time he formally shared his journey, insights, and experiences of EuroNASCAR in public.

From Formula Racing to EuroNASCAR

When asked what brought him to EuroNASCAR, Tziortzis recounted his journey back in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Most athletes, including racing drivers, had to make changes in their careers. I found the EuroNASCAR recruitment testing day online, applied, and was approved. I flew to France and, despite heavy rain conditions, performed well enough to be approved by the championship. Since then, I’ve represented Cyprus in the EuroNASCAR Championship, achieving commendable results, victories, and podiums. My main goal is to one day represent the island in NASCAR, USA."

The Competitive Spirit of EuroNASCAR

Tziortzis highlighted the competitive nature of the championship. "The championship is very competitive. All the drivers are very fast, and we have bumper-to-bumper battles from the first lap until the end. This is what spectators want to see and what we, as drivers, love to do. I hope the future remains competitive or even more so."

Challenges and Triumphs in EuroNASCAR

Reflecting on his beginnings in EuroNASCAR, Tziortzis admitted it was tough transitioning from Formula 4 to Formula 3 and then to EuroNASCAR cars. "I had to adapt my driving style, but I showed that I could bring strong results, podiums, and wins. Every year, we are improving, which is very important."

Preparation and Dedication

Tziortzis shared his rigorous preparation routine before race weekends. "Physical preparation is crucial. I spend six times a week on cardio sessions, strengthening, and yoga, which helps a lot. I also have mental sessions with my team and follow a specific diet program to stay in shape and strong for the race weekends."

Difficult Moments and Achievements

One of his most challenging moments was during the semi-finals in Zolder, Belgium, where he broke his hand after a collision. "I was the main contender for the championship title and had only three weeks to recover after surgery. Despite the odds, I managed to secure third place in the final in Croatia."

On the brighter side, Tziortzis humorously shared his initial struggles with opening champagne bottles on the podium. "After many practice sessions with my team, I can now open them without any issue."
